AFA GRANTS – NEW APPLICATION PROCESS

The Alberta Foundation for the Arts has recently switched to an online system for accepting grant applications through the Grants Application Tracking and Evaluation system (GATE), and no longer accepts paper copies. For musicians wanting to apply to the Individual Music Project’s September 1, 2015 deadline, below are a few things you need to know:

  1.  You will require a GATE User ID and Password. Please email registrationAFA@gov.ab.ca at least five (5) business days prior to the application deadline. In your email, include your legal name, the grant you are applying for and your email address.
  1. Once you’ve received your user ID and password, you will be given instructions on how to create a profile and complete the grant application. Your profile can be updated at any time and used to apply for future grants.
  1. You will still need to submit recorded materials via regular mail, as GATE is currently unable to accept MP4 or MP3 attachments.

If you have any questions, please contact Jason Flammia, Arts Development Consultant – Music, at jason.flammia@gov.ab.ca or at 780-415-0297.
