Graduate of McGill University, Montreal, Quebec, with Distinction, 1977. Thirty plus years in the world of performing arts, Western Board Conservatory trained with countless hours of actual stage experience, Community Theatre and Opera Chorus as well as other genres of music led me to rock and roll band and orchestra, big band arenas. I was the "Flo" of the now iconic and legendary Calgary dance-show-tribute-party band "Dynaflow". I worked with many of the prominent orchestras in Calgary and Edmonton and have also had my own bands, orchestras and ensembles over the decades. Since 2004 my studio has been in full swing and I have also taught in Canmore for a number of years. I teach out of my home, private, light, bright, airy, spacious, warm and friendly. I use a functional, systemic, comprehensive and practical approach and methodology that incorporates all styles of music, but tailored to individual needs, learning styles and aptitudes. Your get far more than just your one hour lesson per week. I am constantly planning, organizing and helping my students prepare for karaoke parties, youth and adult, open mics, coffeehouse showcases (which now happen for the most part on Zoom), working with established musicians and songwriters, recording workshop sessions and so much more. I am based in the S.W. in Braeside but I am easy to get to from anywhere and have students from everywhere. Aligned with professional industry experts. Openings now available.
