Anjie Corpuz is a 3rd-year student currently pursuing a Bachelor of Music degree in Performance, studying Jazz Saxophone under Dr. Jeremy Brown & Nate Waters. In the past, she has participated in many of Calgary’s local initiatives which include the JazzYYC Youth Lab Band, MRU Conservatory Wind Ensemble, KASCI Combo, and the 2024 Alberta Jazz Ensemble. Anjie has engaged in events & programs such as the WBDI Girls in Jazz Day Workshop and the MRU Conservatory Summer Jazz Intensive. Notably, she recently came back to Calgary after playing with the Band of the Ceremonial Guard for their 2025 season. While she plays both the alto & tenor saxophones, Anjie also dabbles in & doubles on the flute and clarinet. Fun fact, she is lactose-intolerant (but loves all-things-dairy).
